About Dina Smith LMHC, MCAP
You can be capable, successful,
and still feel the weight of it all.
I work with women who are used to being the strong one...the one others rely on, the one who figures things out, the one who keeps everything moving forward.
From the outside, life often looks full and successful. But internally, it can feel like a constant pressure to keep up, get it right, and hold everything together. If that feels familiar, this work was designed with you in mind.
Work with Dina Smith
With over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field and 14 years as a licensed mental health therapist, I bring both clinical expertise and real-life understanding into the therapy space.
As a leader, wife, and mom, I understand the complexity of balancing responsibility, relationships, identity, and faith - especially for women who hold themselves to a high standard.
This isn’t just about managing stress. It’s about understanding what’s driving it.
My Approach
For the past several years, I’ve integrated the Enneagram into my work, combining it with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
This allows therapy to move beyond surface-level strategies and into something more precise.
Instead of only focusing on what’s happening, we explore what’s driving it.
The Enneagram helps identify the core motivations and internal patterns behind reactions, especially in moments of stress, pressure, or conflict.
From there, we begin to shift those patterns in a way that feels realistic and aligned, not forced.
This is what makes the work both practical and meaningful.
I specialize in working with high-achieving Christian women and moms, many of whom are balancing careers, relationships, and family life.
They are thoughtful, driven, and used to being relied on.
But internally, they may be experiencing:
A constant sense of pressure or responsibility
Difficulty setting boundaries without guilt
Overthinking and second-guessing
Emotional reactivity or shutting down when overwhelmed
Strain in relationships, even when things look "fine” on the outside
There is often a sense that something needs to change without a clear path for how to do that.
That’s where our work begins.
My work is rooted in compassion, emotional insight, and a deep respect for the role faith can play in healing and growth.
For those who value their relationship with God, or want to reconnect with it, therapy can also become a space to explore identity, worth, and purpose in a more grounded and meaningful way.
Not as something to strive for or prove, but as something that already exists and can be strengthened over time.
The patterns you’re experiencing make sense, once they’re understood.
And when they’re understood, they can begin to change.
This work creates the space to move out of constant pressure and into a more confident, connected way of living...one that supports your relationships, your work, and your faith.
